www.carandclassic.com/car/C1641209Somebody clearly knows their fictional motoring chaps! Although they're right that the Lagonda is cheaper than a contemporary Bentley, £POA still implies that it is beyond this author's humble purse (and indeed £90k+ is what I've seen comparable examples go for, so there you go). Well, a chap (or "Lagonda Lad") can still dream though can't he...?

You are correct in suggesting circa £90k, although the low chassis/supercharged is the most sought after of the 2-Litres and that one looks like a fine example so the seller is probably hoping for a tad more - wouldn't be surprised if he's asking £110/£120k.

Glad to know I wasn't too wide of the mark, then! That one does indeed seem to be a pippin so I expect it will make the upper range easily. A few years ago I penned a couple of articles (if one can call them that), on my blog that I occasionally write, about the cars of Captain Hastings (and Bertie Wooster) and they both continue to be some of the most popular posts (by page views). It was reading your first 'On the road with Bertie Wooster and Captain Hastings' blogs that directed me here I'll read the second one now... of course Campion also drove a Lagonda, perhaps one for a 3rd blog piece?

Another 2-litre Low-Chassis that looks to be in good order - albeit sans supercharger - and so something of a bargain in comparison, perhaps: www.carandclassic.com/car/C1656169
