I'm not surprised she's angry after that racket at the start. Clearly this "Veronica", whoever she/he is, is a fool to think that a standard interior door is going to protect them from a witch's curse.

It's always the same, always. A fellow decides to see this woman, yes she is a tad on the strange side. In fact she "thinks" she's a a witch. So what? She is a feast for the eyes and though eccentric, she is one hot tomato. Then much later he realizes to his horror that she *REALLY* is a witch and has certain powers. He informs his friends and family and they assume that he's taken a vacation from logic and common sense. Everyone knows that witches aren't real right? So he makes the decision to keep quite about it going forward. But things get steadily worse....and worse....It becomes a truly fearful situation. How on earth did he get it all so wrong? And how does he get himself out of this mess without receiving the mother of all curses?

Hmmmnn, yes I do see the problem. In the early days of a relationship these things aren't always obvious, or are seemingly outweighed by other concerns, and it is only much later down the line that they present these sorts of difficulties. Of course in an ideal world partners (and their families) should be tolerant and open-minded towards each others beliefs and practices (provided they do no harm) but clearly that is not always the case. If it does reach the unfortunate point that a break-up becomes inevitable it ought to be done in the most mature and sensible manner possible. A clear and calm explanation to the other party that, while one respects their way of life and harbours no ill-will towards them, the relationship is causing an increasing number of problems that would be best solved for all involved by ending it. One hopes this would fit the bill and leave both parties curse-free but, failing that, I would advise the gentleman obtain a one-way ticket to the International Space Station.
